Doing recruiter tasks in ChatGPT by hand is great — until you are doing them fifty times a day. This course is about making those tasks run on their own.
Using n8n (a no-code automation tool), OpenAI and Google Sheets, you build automations that screen resumes, analyse JDs, generate Boolean, score candidates and draft emails — triggered automatically and written back into your tracker. No prior coding needed.
Who this is for
- Recruiters who already use AI manually and want to automate the repetitive parts
- Recruiters at small agencies who want a screening setup without an expensive ATS
- Anyone curious about no-code automation applied to real hiring work
What you’ll build
- AI resume screening in a Google Sheet — new row in, score and summary out
- JD analysis & skill extraction — must-have vs nice-to-have, automatically
- Boolean / search-string generator — JD to portal-ready strings on autopilot
- Fit & gap scoring — match score, matching skills, missing skills, risks
- Candidate summaries & shortlist emails — recruiter-ready notes drafted for you
- Bulk screening & notifications — process many resumes and get alerted on the strong ones
Course outline
The course runs on one principle: you ship a working automation every day. Over two weeks (five build-days a week) you create ten recruitment workflows — starting from a simple AI resume screening workflow and adding one new capability each day, until you have a complete screening pipeline. Every workflow is yours to keep, reuse and adapt for any role or client.
Week 1 · Days 1–5 · Core screening workflows
1
AI Resume Screening Workflow
Your first build — a resume added to the sheet gets an AI match score, fit category and summary written straight back.
2
JD Intake & Skill Extraction
Turn any job description into structured must-have vs nice-to-have skills, seniority and domain — automatically.
3
Boolean & Search-String Generator
Generate LinkedIn and job-portal search strings from a JD, ready to paste.
4
Fit & Gap Analysis
Score a candidate against the JD with matching skills, missing skills and risk flags.
5
Candidate Summary + Shortlist Email
Auto-draft a clean recruiter summary and a ready-to-send shortlist email.
Week 2 · Days 6–10 · Scaling up to a full pipeline
6
Bulk Resume Screening
Screen many resumes at once from a Google Drive folder, all written into the tracker.
7
Auto Shortlist Notification
Get an email or Slack alert the moment a candidate scores above your threshold.
8
Candidate Ranking Dashboard
Rank everyone for a role from best to worst fit in a single view.
9
Personalised Outreach Generator
Draft tailored outreach messages for each shortlisted candidate.
10
End-to-End Screening Pipeline — Capstone
Combine the pieces into one pipeline — intake to screening to ranking to notification — and present it.
What you’ll walk away with
- A working AI resume-screening workflow you built and fully understand
- Reusable n8n templates for JD analysis, Boolean and candidate summaries
- The skill to wire AI into Google Sheets without writing code
- A capstone screening pipeline you can adapt for any role or client

Prerequisites: Comfort using AI tools manually (our AI in Recruitment course, or equivalent experience) is helpful but not mandatory. No coding background required.
Questions, answered
Do I need to know how to code?
No. n8n is a visual, no-code tool. You connect nodes and write prompts — not software.
What will it cost to run these after the course?
You can build and test everything on free or low-cost tiers of n8n, OpenAI and Google. We cover the practical cost options in class.
Will I actually build something, or just watch?
You build. The first six workflows are hands-on, and you finish with your own working screening pipeline as a capstone project.
